Dornbracht Touchfree Infrared: Touch-free designer fittings
Iserlohn, 16 November 2021
Touchless applications and gesture control have increasingly grown in importance over the years. The recent surge in hygiene awareness has also further increased the demand for corresponding bathroom equipment. This not only concerns semi-public areas, such as restaurants, airports and museums, but also private bathrooms, especially guest bathrooms. The range of products available on the market for this purpose focuses primarily on functionality and all too often neglects the aesthetic appeal. With Touchfree Infrared, Dornbracht once again demonstrates its superior design competence and offers uncompromising design for touch-free fittings with proven technology. The design was created by Sieger Design.
A wide range of design options make the Dornbracht product portfolio particularly attractive for planners and architects. They can always rely on Dornbracht’s design expertise, because proven design principles, such as clear lines, precise edges and exact angles and radii, shape the product design. These principles, combined with proven technology, have resulted in a new product range of touchless fittings with infrared controls and a particularly high-quality and durable design.
The new range includes six designer fittings with numerous glossy and matt finish options. IMO and Meta are available in different versions with a twist knob for direct temperature regulation and under-counter control unit for indirect temperature regulation. Dornbracht offers under-sink temperature regulation for the MEM, Tara and VAIA design series. In addition to shiny chrome and elegant platinum, there are six matt finishes to choose from: Chrome matt, Platinum matt, Brushed Durabrass, Dark Platinum matt, Black matt and White matt. All new products will be available in January.
In terms of functionality, the fittings are based on proven infrared technology and include sensor technology that is integrated into the design in a clever way. Installation and setup are based on the simple “plug & play” principle. Maintenance and adjusting the settings also require little effort and include the option to thermally disinfect all components. Power is supplied by standard, easy-to-change batteries or a power supply unit. Individual settings make it possible to optimise water and energy consumption, thus ensuring cost-effective and environmentally friendly operation. An automatic switch-off function with presettable time stops the water when leaving the sensor area and supports the responsible use of water resources.
“The Dornbracht design principles are reliable factors for planners and designers to emphasise and reinforce individual architectural concepts. They ensure timelessness and a longevity that outlasts eras, styles and trends. All in the spirit of our claim ‘Leading Designs for Architecture’,” emphasises Stefan Gesing, CEO of Dornbracht AG & Co. KG. With its variety of designs and finishes, Touchfree Infrared establishes a formal link to existing Dornbracht design series and thus offers unprecedented design freedom and room for individualisation in high-quality bathrooms.
