Entire Dornbracht range now also available as BIM data
Iserlohn, 13 April 2022
From now on, all products in the current Dornbracht range are also presented in the form of BIM data. Data for Building Information Modelling can be accessed via the BIMobject portal and via the product detail pages on the Dornbracht website.
“Our brand claim ‘Leading Designs for Architecture’ is not merely asserting that we create trend-setting and superbly designed products. In fact, it is also about offering all target groups the information that is relevant to them in a form that is right for them. By also presenting our entire product portfolio as BIM data, we are now supporting architects and planners in their day-to-day work,” says Stefan Gesing, CEO of Dornbracht AG & Co. KG.
An increasing number of architects, civil engineers and planners are using Building Information Modelling (BIM) to create a totally virtual representation of their constructions as early as the planning phase. The result is greater certainty for planning and cost. The target groups use special BIM software – such as Revit or Archicad – to export the data. Fittings manufacturer Dornbracht provides relevant file formats for its products, which planners can integrate into their model. You do not just get the shape of the product as a 3D model, the files also contain metadata such as article numbers, connections and installation instructions. Planners can then use this data to generate a list of products that need to be ordered, for example.
