AHEAD Award 2020: TARA and Alape in the award-winning Château de Vignée

The Château de Vignée is a high-end boutique hotel in the Belgian Ardennes, on the outskirts of Villers-sur-Lesse. Its distinctiveness: The interior designers of the studio WeWantMore have succeeded in transferring the special surroundings of the ancient property – the original Ardennes landscape – into the interior of the house in a poetic and often surprising way. The result is an interior that artfully tells little stories.

The Château, which was completed in June 2020 after renovation, has now been awarded the prestigious AHEAD Award in the “Hotel Renovation & Restoration” category.

For the bathroom design of the Château, the choice fell on the Dornbracht icon TARA in Matte Black and the Alape basins Unisono and Metaphor, also in Matte Black. The storage system Assist and several design mirrors from Alape were also stylishly staged.

Fittings and basins harmonize perfectly with the expressive marble. The color, grain and texture of the stone and the exclusive, Matte Black finish of the TARA and the Alape basin seem to be made for each other.

The Dornbracht Premium Consulting Service acted as a permanent contact for the design studio, the building owners and the trades. They accompanied the extensive project in all phases and showed great flexibility in the combination of the portfolios and in the specification.
